The 160-C30 drive communication cable has a length of 3 meters, or the equivalent of 9.8 feet. Other sizes of the cable include 1- and 5-meter lengths. The 160-C30 is designed with locking at each end. The communication cable has a black exterior with straight connectors at both ends. Locking instructions for the 160-C30 drive cable include a clicking sound on insertion/locking and rotation of the connector to unlock.
The cable belongs to Bulletin 160 series of SSC optional modules and cables. It connects the remote programming adapter (160-RPA) to either the remote keypad module (160-P2) or the copycat keypad module (160-P3). The remote programming adapter provides a simple interface connection for the remote and CopyCat Keypad Modules.
When the cable is being connected via a conduit, the metal contact point of entry connections must be free of materials, such as paint or non-conductive surfaces, and the contacts must solidly connect with good conductivity to the enclosure.
