The 193-EF1BKD is a Minimally Conscious State (MCS-Plus) overload relay designed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The product is from the series of E1 Plus™ Electronic Overload Relay. While most electromechanical relays send current via heating elements to exploit an indirect heating simulation in the motor, E1 plus relays only measure the motor current. Because the current measurement-based protection of the motor accurately models the thermal conditions. In addition, this type of thermal protection for the motor also ensures that both hot and cold motors are adequately protected. The 193-EF1BKD from Bulletin 193-EF MCS Plus has a control voltage of 110V AC, and it works in the frequency range of 50-60Hz. Furthermore, the total load current range of this relay is 160amps to 400amps. However, it has only a manual reset feature. Nevertheless, it comes with a remote reset feature with a button for manual reset functionality, and the remote reset module for this application is 193-RB1. As a result, it allows the users to set the tripping time for motor operation. In this regard, the thermal tripping time for operating in 193-EF1BKD is 6x/e. Besides, this relay by Allen-Bradley does support the standby indicators with the status storage timing of thirty minutes default. Hence, if a supply voltage failure occurs while deploying Bulletin 193-EF overload relays, such as the 193-EF1BKD relay, the output relay resets, and the standby light turns off. It does support the mounting through screw fixing with optimal mounting. Moreover, it has an installation instruction guide for users.
