The 440K-AMDS accessory is used with the guard locking switch. Guard locking switches aid in detailed detection of faults and offers a locking mechanism that ensures that the guard is closed until the error is rectified. It is a siding bolt type and has a width of 54.4 millimeters (2.14 inches). The sliding bolt, which measures up to a door handle is screwed onto the guard locking switch with the distance between the two consecutive bolts being 65 millimeters (2.5 inches) and 55.4 millimeters (2.18 inches). The screw diameter is estimated at 6.4 millimeters (0.25 inches). The operating temperature range for this product should be between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius, or the equivalent range of -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The accessory's material is stainless steel and works as an actuator and aids in system control by opening the valves though by control signals. The actuation speed is 160 millimeters (6.29 inches) per second, whereas the maximum actuation frequency obtained is 1 cycle per second. The enclosure type by the National Electrical Manufacturer Association is rated at IP66 meaning that the part is protected against infiltration of dust and water sprays though temporarily.
