The Allen-Bradley 445L-T4S0960YD is a Bulletin 445L GuardShield safety light curtain transmitter unit. This device enables detection capabilities to determine perimeter access (PAC) and point of operation (POC). The transmitter is defined as a standard GuardShield safe category type 4 and is integrated with a built-in laser alignment system with 8 to 256 light beams. It emits sequential IR pulses which are received by the receiver unit of the light curtain. The light curtain transmitter has a resolution of 30 mm (1.18 inches) and a scanning range of 0 to 18 meters (0 to 59 feet). It allows side mounting through the use of additional brackets. Its response time is specified at 26.3 milliseconds. The transmitter requires a +24 volts DC power supply and has a maximum power consumption of 500 milliamperes.

The 445L-T4S0960YD light curtain transmitter has a protected height of 960 mm (37.8 inches). Its stick length is specified as 1174.75 mm (46.25 inches) and the profile length is specified to be 1132.25 millimeters (44.58 inches).
