Part number 500LP-BOD94 is a lighting contactor with permanent magnet latching. This device was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This device is used to switch the current to various lighting lamps, capacitors, and other non-motor and lighting loads. The 500LP-BOD94 is a three (3)-phase lighting contactor with a NEMA size of one (1). It has a system voltage range of 115 volts to 120 volts at a rated coil frequency of 60 hertz. Regarding its motor data, this device has a maximum current rating of 30 amperes, with a current rating of 27 amperes when operated continuously. The Allen Bradley 500LP-BOD94 has a maximum circuit closing inrush current peak, which includes offset, of 288 amperes. This device does not have an auxiliary contact. however, it does have a pole configuration of four (4) power cores. This contactor has maximum power rating of 2 horsepower (Hp), as well as a maximum power rating of 1 horsepower (Hp). It also has transformer primary switching power rating of 1.2 kilovolt-amperes in which the inrush current is less than 20 times the continuous current. When the inrush current is equal to 20 to 40 times the continuous current, the transformer primary switching power rating of this contactor is 0.6 kilovolt-amperes. The 500LP-BOD94 does not have an enclosure and, therefore, is an open style of device. This means its use is limited to indoors where it cannot be exposed to dust and moisture which may damage internal sensitive electrical components. This lighting contactor has been discontinued by Allen Bradley as of December 2014.
