Description:
The Allen-Bradley 509-BAD is a Base Contactor that enhances both the motor start and stop efficiency employing a microprocessor. This controller can be employed with three-phase motors and includes six (6) SCR to control the conduction time, minimize the heat, and monitor the motor torque and voltage during different phases such as starting, running, and stopping. This unit delivers power from 7.5 horsepower to 10 horsepower. The motor controller permits to control of the voltage rating range from 200 Volts AC to 575 Volts AC with a motor current draw of 27 Amperes. The 509-BAD controller handles the SCRs during the switching current process which allows increasing robustness and lifetime for harsher environments.
