700DC-PK400Z24 is a relay component by Allen Bradley. It is one of the important members of the 700 DC relay series. It is a heavy duty component with a double break design and has four open contacts. In this relay, no closed contacts are present. The contacts are made from the material silver cadmium oxide. This DC relay is basically a master control relay. It has a voltage rating of 24 volts DC and a current rating of 20 amps. Its mechanical life is 10 million operations. There are master control cartridges present which have a single contact pad. These cartridges are very important and are responsible for carrying heavy loads along with performing multiple different operations in the system. Additional time delays can also be incorporated with this relay. The relay comes up with an open enclosure and has to be installed accordingly to avoid any contamination. The installation process has to be carried out following all installation guidelines properly. Safety precautions have to be kept in mind during this process to avoid any damage to the system and the surroundings. The reset time for the relay is 75 ms. For pickup, the operating time is 30 to 50 ms whereas for dropout it is 20 to 33 ms. Panel mounting or strip mounting method is used as a mounting technique for this relay component. As these relays find application in different types of industrial environments therefore they can operate at high temperatures that are common to industrial settings.
