The Allen-Bradley 836-A3J Pressure Controller involves an electrical control circuit with an internal copper alloy bellows actuator to monitor pneumatic parameters (air, vapor, and gases) or hydraulic parameters (water, oil, and liquids) in industrial heavy-duty, pneumatic, hydraulic applications. The switch supports an adjustable pressure range of 12 psi to 250 psi. The pressure controller includes a two-circuit contact device that has one N.O. and one N.C. contact for SPDT operation. The two-circuit contact device of the 836-A3J supports a voltage rating of 600 Volts AC or DC. This unit supports a line pressure of 500 psi and a surge pressure of 600 psi. This pressure controller has a 0.25-inch female pipe thread pressure connection. This unit supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5% to 95%.

The 836-A3J can be installed rapidly without removing its front cover to protect the internal circuitry. The switch can be stored in a safe environment that shouldn’t be full of condensation or corrosion at a temperature from -30 to 93 degrees Celsius (-22 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit). The 836-A3J pressure controller includes a pilot light indicator. This pressure control switch can be employed to control high and low pressures in air compressors and vacuum transfer systems. The pressure controller device includes an adjustment screw which allows tuning the trip setting to tune the higher pressure value by changing the internal spring. The unit includes an external differential adjustment screw which allows tuning the reset setting to tune the lower pressure value. This pressure controller operates at a temperature range of -30 to 66 degrees Celsius (-22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications and weighs approximately 1.22 Kilograms (2.69 pounds) while shipping.
