For replacing the main contacts on the 100-D180 contactor, the 100-DC-180 is a compatible spare part. Before replacing or dismantling the contactor, make sure the device is completely turned off. Use a compatible screwdriver to remove the screws from the sides. After dismantling the front cover, inspect the interior for any kind of damage. The moveable contacts are held in place by a metal clamp. To remove the old contacts, push on one side of the contact to release it from the metal clamp, repeat the following for the other contacts as well. After removing the moveable contacts, the fixed contacts are then removed. Make sure to keep all the screws and accessories to mount the new contactor set in place. The new fixed contactor can be aligned with the holes and tightened, and the new movable contacts can be slid onto the metal clamps. Before closing the contactor make sure to remove any dust particle or inspect for loose screws to prevent short-circuiting.
