To add auxiliary contacts to your contactors, the 100-FA11 contact block provides the option to add auxiliary terminals to your contactor. The 100-FA11, however, needs to be compatible with the model of your contactor. It offers two (2) auxiliary contacts, with one (1) normally open (N.O.) and one (1) normally closed (N.C.) contact. The contactor block is easy to install as all you have to do is to snap it into place on the side of the contactor that you want to use. The purpose of this block is to add the switching feature to a contactor that doesn't offer auxiliary contacts or if the user wants to increase the number of auxiliary contacts. All the auxiliary contacts are controlled by the electronic coil with the contactor. The normally open contact by default is in an open circuit state and will close when the coil energizes and pulls the contact lever. The normally closed contact is the opposite as it allows the circuit to be connected until the electromagnet pulls the contact lever. The 100-FA11 contactor block is made using very rigid and environmentally friendly material. The block comes with an IP2X protection rating. When installing the 100-FA11 block, make sure to turn off the contactor that it's being attached to. Wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes to let the coil de-energize to prevent electric shocks. Also, wear protective gear when installing and replacing. The block can sustain a maximum operating temperature of 55 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature of around 70 degrees Celsius.
