1202-C30 is a SCANport cable by Allen-Bradley. It is a male-to-male cable that is used with different Allen-Bradley modules such as the 1203-GD1 module, the 1336-GM1 board, and the 1203-GK1 module. It acts as a SCANport that plays its part in connecting the human-machine interface (HMI) directly to the drive. All such modules require compatible cables for proper connection and working. Allen-Bradley has introduced a number of cables for this purpose. The series contains male to male cables and male to female cables as a part of their product line. The major difference among different models of cables lies in the length of the cable. The length of 1202-C30 cable is three (3) meters. Less than ten (10) meters of cable is to be used between SCANport module and all corresponding peripherals for best performance. It should be noted that these cables are to be kept at a distance from high power cables at all times. If they are close to high power cables, it may introduce noise in the connection.
