The 1203-GK5 is a communications module made by Allen-Bradley. It is used to connect SCANport components to a DeviceNet network. This module is mounted on a DIN rail and uses a SCANport cable to connect to devices. The 1203-GK5 provides an electronic communications interface to connect one SCANport device to the network. It features DIP switches that allow module configuration before the network connection is established. The module also offers Faulted Node Recovery. This feature allows the node address of a device to be changed when the device is bus-off on the network. The module can be configured as per user preference to respond to communication errors. It features integrated LEDs to display system status and diagnose network errors. The module requires a 7.5 millimeter DIN rail for mounting and is compatible with a 5-pin or 10-pin connector. The 1203-GK5 module requires an input current of 110 milliamperes supplied at an input voltage of 12 Volts to 25 Volts DC. The SCANport load rating is 60 milliamperes. The 1203-GK5 baud rates are 125, 250, and 500 kilobits per second. The module is intended for operation in temperatures ranging from 0 degrees and 50 degrees Celsius. The non-operating temperature range is between -40 degrees and 85 degrees Celsius. Module dimensions are 76 x 45 x 123 millimeters (3 x 1.8 x 4.8 inches). The enclosure type is NEMA Type 1.
