The 1492-CB1G050 is a circuit breaker by Allen-Bradley, and that is from the Bulletin 1492-CB circuit breaker series. These circuit breakers under Bulletin 1492-CB may be used to protect a wide variety of industrial items, such as various transformers, supplies for power, testing element, medical-grade components, different relay and contactors, computers, solenoids, and various control instruments. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit protection device is a single-pole, alternating current (AC) rating of 5 amperes.

This circuit protector device is most suitable for 0.5 horsepower at 277 volts alternating current (AC) in a single-phase line. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker has physical dimensions that measure 3.63 inches x 0.7 inches x 2.72 inches (height x width x depth). Each carton box contains only one circuit breaker. This protection device for the electric circuit is a combination of a motor controller device and a supplementary safety device as well. It can be used to disconnect motors. The breaker is capable of handling alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) voltages individually. With their energy-limiting design, the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1492-CB breakers provide superior protection for the system's downstream components compared to other types of breakers.

The breaker can be field mounted in several ways. An IP 2X finger-safe version of this particular device is also available. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker has a dielectric strength of 1960 volts AC. It supports a 50,000 hertz (Hz) frequency for a maximum of 6 amperes of current at 240 volts AC, and it is 30 kHz between 7 and16 amperes of current, 20,000 hertz frequency between 20 and 32 amperes, and 12,000 hertz frequency between 40 and 50 amperes of current.
