The 1492-IFM20F is an Allen-Bradley extra terminal interface module. Rockwell Automation manufactures it. The product range of this interfacing module is bulletin 1492. The product can be best summarised as an interfacing in-panel input/output wiring system for bulletin 1492 CompactLogix controllers. In particular, it can be applied to build a connection between programmable controller modules and the wiring systems. It is designed to reduce space while increasing the IFMs. The IFMs establish connections between I/O field wiring and PLCs using terminals. Furthermore, the same terminals are used as power buses that can further utilize sensors and actuators for a powerful interface. In addition, the usage of this type of interface module leads to low cost, lesser inventory, compact design, flexibility, and the ease in performing heavy-duty industrial applications with simplicity. As far as the power requirements of this terminal module are concerned, the current rating of this module is 12 amperes and the voltage range is 0-265 volts AC/DC. In addition, it features 20 point terminals that function as power buses to exploit sensors and actuators. Besides, the module is a feed-through type and can be mounted using the DIN rail technique. Furthermore, it uses digital interfacing technology for connecting to the PLC module. Since each module supports a particular wiring system, the 1492-IFM20F is compatible with the  RIFM20F wiring system. This wiring module comes with a removable block socket assembly. Aside from product descriptions, safety precautions must always be followed. In most cases, the product always contains a configuration and maintenance manual.
