By switching the input voltage to the 230 volts position, the power supply unit operates at low and moderate loads up until 3 A for input voltages between 95 and 264 volts AC. For continuous loading, an AC input voltage between 176 and 264 volts AC produces a corresponding output current of 5 to 6 Amps, while input voltages between 95 and 117 volts AC would give output currents of 3 Amps. Similarly, this device produces a wide range of output current between 2 and 6 Amps for a range of DC input voltages ranging from 100 – 150 volts DC and 210 – 375 volts DC. The manual switch should be left at the 230-volt position for DC input. At the 115 volts AC switch point, input AC voltages between 85 and 132 volts produce 5 to 6 Amps of output current. Additionally, the input current at the 230 volts switch position operates at less than 1.4 amps while the input current at the 115 volts AC input voltage switch point is less than 2.6 Amps. Designed to have a high inrush current of 15 Amps, this device has its output protected against short circuit, overload, and open circuit with overvoltage protection of 29 volts. The primary side of the power supply can be protected with a fuse or circuit breaker, and its design incorporates robust mechanics enabling easy access to all connection blocks.
