This is the 1606-XL480E-3 power supply module offered by Allen Bradley. This module is a three-phase power supply that has a nominal input voltage rating of 480 volts AC (alternating current). It features a simple fusing design and is suitable for use in IT systems. This power supply operates with a typical efficiency of up to 92 percent. It features connection blocks that are mounted on the front panel and are easy to reach. The power supply has an input current rating of 1.5 amperes. It produces an output voltage of 24 to 28 volts DC (direct current) that is adjustable using an integrated potentiometer mounted at the front. This Allen Bradley module can operate within a temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius. The power supply features over voltage protection by switching to hiccup mode when the voltage exceeds 32 volts. It supports parallel operation with up to ten (10) units in use simultaneously. The module has built-in LEDs, or light emitting diodes, that indicate the output voltage status. The power supply supports the use of PVC insulated cable. Supported wire sizes are 20 to 10 AWG (0.5 to 4 millimeters squared) for a stranded cable and 0.5 to 6 millimeters squared for a solid cable. The dimensions of this module measure 220 millimeters x 124 millimeters x 102 millimeters. The manufacturer recommends leaving 70 millimeters of free space above and below the module, as well as 25 millimeters on the sides in order to ensure appropriate ventilation.
