Part number 1606-XLSRED40 belongs to the Bulletin1606 series of performance power supply redundancy modules. This dual input module utilizes Mosfet decoupling technology. This device has a voltage drop-in/output of 72 millivolts, a no-load power loss of 0.7 watts, a nominal load power loss of 2.5 watts, and a mean time before failure (MTBF) of 2.7 million hours. This device has a nominal current per input of 20 amperes across the dual inputs with 50 percent of the higher currents allowed for up to 55 seconds. Also, the nominal load loss has a 1 + 1 redundancy, as well as symmetrical input currents. This device's mean time before failure value is dependent on the temperature that it is being subjected to. Additionally, the rated output derating of this module is 0 amperes per degree Celsius (0A/°C). Moreover, this device has a minimum expected lifetime of 246 thousand hours. The operating temperature for this device should remain within a range of -40 degrees Celsius to +70 degrees Celsius. The storage temperature, however, should remain within a range of -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius.

The 1606-XLSRED40 was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation, in which it was designed to provide high current redundancy to the power supply module. This Mosfet redundancy device has a peak input current per input of 1000 amperes for 1 millisecond and a reverse current value per input of 1 milliampere. Also, its Mosfet decoupling element has an input to output voltage drop of 140 millivolts. However, this device has no low input voltage alarm contacts. The physical dimensions of this device measure 36 mm x 124 mm x 127 mm, with an approximate weight of 340 grams.
