The 800T-A2B unit is part of the 800T series of standard push buttons, which is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The size of the 800T-A2B push button is 30 millimeters (mm) and is usually the standard size for push buttons. The push-button has a standard black color and is a momentary, as well as a flush head, push button. The terminals of the 800T-A2B have no guards, all push buttons have contacts, and the 800T-A2B has standard contacts, in which there are four (4). Two of the contacts are Normally Open (NO) and two of them are Normally Closed (NC). The voltage and current have a minimum rating of 24 volts and 24 milliamperes, respectively. Additionally, the maximum thermal continuous current for the 800T-A2B push button is 10 amperes alternating current (AC) and 2.5 amperes direct current (DC).

The lettering on the model defines the standard of the push button. In the case of 800T-A2B, letter "T" provides protection rating, "A" provides the operator type, "2" provides the color cap, and "B" provides the contact blocks. "T" describes the protection rating as metal and Type 4/13; "A" describes the operator type as flush head; "2" describes the color cap as black; and "B" describes the contacts, which are 2 Normally Open (NO) and 2 Normally Closed (NC) totaling 4 contact blocks.  The unit features Snap-action contacts which is a quick make, quick break snap-action mechanism that is only available on factory-assembled units and creates a maximum continuous current rating of 10 amperes. The standard 800T push button is usually shipped with 3 washers and the total weight of the said unit is around 0.16 kilograms.
