The PS69-DPM is a PROFIBUS certified master interface module that optimizes industrial automation processes by combining the power of CompactLogix platform with the benefits of PROFIBUS DPV1 network. PROFIBUS DP reduces data transmission costs by decentralizing I/O modules of PLCs into field areas close to the devices they are connected with. Manufactured by ProSoft Technology, the PS69-DPM is a single-slot module that offers PROFIBUS DPV1 protocol support and operates at acyclic DPV1 data, speeding up the performance of PLCs by sending non-critical data upon request only. It achieves these seamlessly because it supports both I/O control and CIP messaging. Its PROFIBUS data transmission is robust, with minimal distortions from industrial and environmental noise as data is digitally passed through a PROFIBUS cable (RS-485).
Part number PS69-DPM is a UL 508 listed, CE, PROFIBUS and c-UL certified module with noteworthy specifications. It has an integrated EC1-160P with ASPC2 processor, a 260-milliampere required power supply with +/-5 percent tolerance at 5 volts DC, a 12000 kilobytes communication rate, 408 maximum bytes input data, and 480 maximum bytes output data. Its temperature and relative humidity should not exceed 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and 5 to 95 percent, respectively. In addition, multiple modules can be installed if they have identical block transfer sizes. It is important to note that the power supply must be disconnected before mounting or removing these modules. Each of these has a surge voltage of 2 kilovolts at 5 kilohertz in common mode that reduces to 1 kilovolts when operated in differential mode.
