The Allen-Bradley W63 heating element is created by a eutectic alloy form overload relay and is a Bulletin 500 line that starts with a trip category of 20. It is of type W, and its full load rated current is 26.4 amperes for size 0, 27.6 amperes for size 1, and 28.5 amperes for size 2. Additionally, for size 3, the full load rated current of this device is 30.5 amperes. Overload relay protection according to W63 standards is supplied by class W heating devices for the network system's 500 lines.
When exposed to a current equivalent to 600% of its rated capacity, this section overloaded relay 20 shall trip in less than 20 seconds. Certain procedures may need the use of overloaded relays of class 10 or class 30. Class 10 overloaded relays are usually used in conjunction with hermetic rotors, underground pumps, or motors having a low locked rotor endurance capacity. When additional accelerating time is necessary and the motor's safe allowable locked rotor duration is within class 30 performance standards, class 30 overloading relays are used with large inertia loads.
When running in a high-temperature condition greater than 40 degrees Celsius, it is feasible to drain less than 100% of the motor's rated current without impacting its insulating life. It is feasible to draw greater than 100% of the typically rated current off the motor at lower temperatures (below 40 °C) without reducing the insulating life of the windings. As a result, the connection between motor air and environment temperatures and motor output is inverse.
