The SST-DHP-PCI is a PCI interface card that is for communication with Data Highway Plus (DH+) networks. Many prominent features are available in the card such as a fully compliant 33 MHz and 32-bit PCI interface that is compliant with PCI 2.2 spec and 6-pin phoenix connector. The card features a 29.4912 MHz Z-182 microprocessor with 64K of RAM. It has a shared RAM of 64K with data rates of 75.6k baud, 115.2k baud, and 230.4k baud. Visual indicators are also available in the card that shows card status and network status. The PCI edge connector of the card can plug into any 2.1 and 2.2 PCI compliant motherboard. The card needs a motherboard connector that can deliver the power of 3.3 and 5.5 Volts. Two bi-color LEDs are available on the card that are visible through the mounting bracket. The light emitting diodes nearest to the printed circuit board of the card are network LED. The SYS LED is furthest from the printed circuit board of the card.

The system of the SST-DHP-PCI has few requirements for the installation and operation of the card that must be met before initiating the installation. The card will operate in PCI 2.1 compliant systems with a power supply of 3.3 Volts or available PCI 2.2 and 2.3 slots. At least one physical interrupt must be present for the installation and operation of the card. The SST-DHP-PCI card has components that are sensitive to electrostatic charge. Careful handling is required for the handling of the card. The card establishes communication as single or more slave racks exploiting 1771 remote I/O.
