The Allen-Bradley Y-3023-2-H00AA is an 8 pole, brushless servo motor belonging to the light industrial “Y” series of servos. This brushless servo motor is designed to perform extremely precise and complex positioning as well as perfect speed applications. The Y-3023-2-H00AA also offers highly sophisticated control of acceleration on industrial machines. No break option is included in this servo motor, but an optical encoder line count is available. The Y-3023-2-H00AA has the largest frame size available for a servo motor within the Y series of light industrial motors. This motor is wound for alternating current (AC) input at 230 Volts. The Y-3023-2-H00AA servo motor makes use of extremely high-energy rare earth magnets (neodymium mineral) which provide very low inertia. This in turn allows for very rapid acceleration and allows the motor to speed up extremely quickly. The Y-3023-2-H00AA has an overall speed rating of 4,500 revolutions per minute (RPM).

The Y-3023-2-H00AA includes a motor-mounted optical encoder line count. This optical encoder line count has a commutation signal and 2000 P/R resolution. The optical encoder is supplied by an DC input power of 5 Volts. In order to deploy this servo motor as a complete servo drive positioning system in an industrial production environment, it must also be paired with a servo drive unit. Any one of the following Allen-Bradley servo drive units will fulfil this requirement: 1398-DDM-019, 1398-DDM-020, 2093-AM02, 2094-AM02, or 2098-DSD-020. The Y-3023-2-H00AA servo motor can be used in a standard industrial production environment, but for optimal function and longevity it must not be exposed to extremely high levels of humidity, heat, or corrosion.
