The PowerFlex 40P series 22D-D4P0N104 AC drive addresses the needs for closed loop control and Safe-off in a space saving and money saving design. It has an input voltage rating of 480 volts (range of 342 to 528 voltss) at 50/60 Hertz and is three-phase. The power rating is 1.5 kW (2.0 hp) and current output is 4.0 Amperes. There are enclosure options of panel mount with ratings NEMA 1 or IP30 and NEMA 4 or IP66. The installation is fast with DIN rail mounting. The ambient temperature can go up to 40°C with Zero Stacking that saves useful panel space. There is an integral display and reset button provided to change display parameters and reset the drive in the case of a fault. The user-friendly display is 4 digit with additional ten indicator LEDs.

The drive has RS485 port integrated for interfacing with the Personal Computer. A multi-drop network configuration is also possible. The drive also comes with a NEMA 4X remote and NEMA Type 1 hand-held LCD keypad. Both can be used for programming purposes and provide practical means to the control including the famous CopyCat function. The inrush current is protected against by a relay pre-charge. The integral brake transistors provide dynamic braking capability with simple low cost brake resistors. The DIP switch can be 24 Volts DC or source control to allow for wiring flexibility.

The 22D-D4P0N104 comes with several optional communication protocols including ProfiBus and Ethernet. In the Allen-Bradley catalog, it has the ID 22D-D4P0N104. At three phases, it can produce a power output of four (4.0) amperes. The maximum input power rate for this drive is 480 volts alternating current. The horsepower rating on this module is two (2) Hp, or the equivalent of 1.5 kilowatts (kW). There are seven discrete sink inputs. There is one discrete opto output. The two analog inputs have form C contacts. The voltage for the analog is in the range of 0-10 volts direct current. The voltage range for the analog inputs is 0-10 volts direct current. 

The 22D-D4P0N104 comes with a front-mounted keypad that is ideally utilized for configuring this drive locally. The built-in keypad is also utilized for operating this AC drive. The display can show four (4) digits at once. There are a total of ten (10) indicator LEDs. It supports remote handheld, remote wireless, and a panel mount. It is a type of VFD or a VSD. It offers three advantages to the users. First off, it helps with reducing overall energy consumption. Secondly, it increases control efficiency. And lastly, this drive increases the overall accuracy of the connected motors. this drive also includes a built-in HMI, or human machine interface. This HMI helps with quick configuration and faster operation. There is also an IGBT brake on this drive. However, EMC filters are not included with this Allen-Bradley product.
