The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10G10 is an electronic operator panel that can be used for a variety of industrial applications ranging from system integration to machine control. The device is highly user-friendly and possesses the ability to create an interactive interface between the user and the components of the system. The grayscale display screen forms a crucial part of the interface and presents the working status of the machine’s components to the user. The feedback provided by the display screen can be utilized by the operator to further improve the functioning of the control system. The terminal is housed in a NEMA Type 12/13 enclosure that is specifically designed to support the display screen. The terminal must be mounted in an environment that abides by IEC-1131-2 Pollution degree 2 protection standards. Adequate space must be provided within the enclosure to ensure airflow, ventilation, ease of installation, and ease of maintenance. The 2711-K10G10 terminal operates on an efficient DeviceNet network that can be set up during the configuration of the device and its integration with the rest of the control system. The user can send and receive messages over the network and establish a seamless communication link with the components of the machine. This ensures that the user is in complete control of the industrial system. The 1761-NET-DNI modules within the package can be used to connect the panel to a logic controller such as a CompactLogix or MicroLogix controller and ensures a stable connection for a considerable period of time. A null modem cable can also be constructed by using the pinout provided in the technical specification document.
