The 150-F43NBD SMC controller is a microprocessor-based soft starter to optimize the efficiency of the motor starts and stops. This is a motor-controlled device and a solid-state controller module that comes from SMC Flex family. This motor controller has an open enclosure type with an IP 20 rating. The controller comes with a power rating of 480.0 Amperes and it can operate with a motor having a power output of 400.0 horsepower (HP). The input line voltage range of 3 phase device is from 200 to 460.0 Volts AC and the range of control-voltage is from 100 to 240.0 Volts. It offers electronic motor overload protection with integral bypass to reduce heat generation. It has six silicon-controlled rectifiers to adjust the conduction period and monitor voltage during starting, stopping, and running of the motor. The underload protection is also featured by the module in which the operation of the device is stopped in case of a drop in current. A backlit LCD is also featured in the 150-F43NBD device to set up and monitor applications for increasing efficiency and performance optimization.

The motor-controlled device is equipped with modular design and advanced intelligence and diagnostics. The 150-F43NBD has communication flexibility, removable control module and fan assembly available in a cost-effective package for demanding production applications. The modular design is used for simplified installation and easy maintenance. A built in LCD and keypad is available with an integrated bypass filter. It has nine (9) start and stop modes and three (3) slow speed modes with full metering and diagnostics. This is an easy to install device and comes with many control options to enable the efficient operation of the device.

When storing the Allen-Bradley 150-F43NBD, it is important that a variety of precautions must be taken. When storing the 150-F43NBD, make sure that the area of storage is dry and clean. The ambient temperature of this storage must also remain within a range of -20 (negative twenty) and +75 (positive seventy-five) degrees Celsius. This temperature range is equivalent to -4 (negative four) and +167 (positive one hundred sixty-seven) degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the relative humidity of said storage are must be non-condensing and lie within the range of zero percent (0%) and ninety-five percent (95%). Do not store this product in an area that is under construction and do not store this product in an area where it is likely to be exposed to an atmosphere that may be corrosive.  

The Allen-Bradley 150-F43NBD supports three (3) communication ports. These three (3) ports are DPI ports and are used to communicate with other devices. Ports 2 and 3, which are located on the side of the Allen-Bradley 150-F43NBD, are typically used to communicate and interface with a Human Interface Module, or HIM. The default connection port is Port 2 and Port 3 becomes available by installing a splitter onto Port 2. The liquid crystal display, or LCD, is the primary interface that allows an operator to interact with the Allen-Bradley 150-F43NBD. This display is backlit and displays three (3) lines of sixteen (16) characters. Additionally, there is a keypad that an operator may also interact with. Installed onto the front of the device, this keypad has five (5) primary keys that are used to navigate the LCD display.
