The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL241 is a discrete logic input module that includes sixteen (16) discrete input points which can be positive or negative logic inputs and supports a voltage rating range from either zero (0) Volts DC to 30 Volts DC or from zerp (0) Volts AC to 30 Volts AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hertz. The IC693MDL241 inputs are grouped into a single well-isolated group (A1 - B8) which are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of inputs with a common power input terminal. The IC693MDL241 employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 Volts between logic and field sides. The IC693MDL241 can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate. The IC693MDL241 can be employed with many AC or DC input devices such as limit and electronic proximity switches and pushbuttons.
The IC693MDL241 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from an isolated +24 Volts DC supply which can be found with I/O connectors of the module. This module draws a current rating of 80 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC and a current rating of 125 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 Volts DC. The IC693MDL241 inputs draw a current rating of 7 milliamperes. It includes a hinged door that supports an insert in between the outside and the inside surfaces. The IC693MDL241 outside left edge of the insert is blue to show that this device is a low rating voltage module. The IC693MDL241 hinged door inside area includes the wiring details of the circuit and the outside area contains the identification detail regarding the circuit.
