The GE Fanuc Emerson IC200MDL742 is a discrete logic output module that includes thirty-two (32) discrete channels that can be positive logic outputs and support a voltage rating range from 18 volts DC to 30 volts DC. These outputs are grouped into two groups of sixteen (16) outputs (A1 – A16 and B1 – B16) that are labeled with LED indicators to show the status of points. Each group includes the DC+ and the DC- terminals. This device employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 250 volts AC continuously and 1500 volts AC for one minute between groups. The module offers an on and off response time of 0.5 milliseconds. This output module employs 32 bits of discrete output data.
The IC200MDL742 offers protection against short circuits and overcurrent. The device outputs include free-wheeling diodes. The module supports an inrush current of 2 amperes during 100 milliseconds. The processing can be performed by either NIU or a CPU. This module draws a current of 150 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 volts DC. The IC200MDL742 includes two green LED indicators on the faceplate to indicate the power presence on the module when connected to the backplane. Each output has an amber LED indicator to show the overload conditions. These outputs can be involved in many applications and interfaced with resistive and inductive actuators. The IC200MDL742 weighs approximately 150 grams (0.33 pounds) while shipping and operates at 0 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius (32 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
