Part number 20-750-20COMM is a carrier card that was designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This card was created to accommodate older and archaic communication adapters for PowerFlex 750 class drives, notably the PowerFlex 753 and PowerFlex 755. This carrier card is only for PowerFlex 750 size 2 and larger drives. The 20-750-20COMM is compatible with a variety of communications adapters, including the 20-COMM-C ControlNet (Coax) communications adapter, the 20-COMM-D DeviceNet adapter, the 20-COMM-E Ethernet/IP adapter, the 20-COMM-H RS-485 HVAC adapter, the 20-COMM-K CANOpen adapter, and the 20-COMM-L. Access ports 0 to 6 are used for I/O connections and to implement implicit and explicit messaging, while access ports 7 and higher are used only for I/O and explicit messaging. Also, support for add-on profiles and other languages depends on the version of the adapter. In addition, the carrier card continues to support RTU, P1, and N2. Due to its size, the carrier card must be inserted in port 6. It can also be placed in port 4 or 5, but adjacent ports are not accessible as the carrier board covers the slot. This can be avoided by using port 6. In addition, the port 6 location eliminates communication interference. PowerFlex 753 propulsion control applications require a rated power of up to 400 horsepower (Hp), or 270 kilowatts (kW). PowerFlex 755 drive control applications, on the other hand, require a rated power of up to 2,000 horsepower (Hp), or 1,500 kilowatts (kW). This carrier card requires two (2) screws to mount it to the PowerFlex 750 drive chassis.
