Allen-Bradley’s 22-HIM-A3 is a remote, handheld, human and machine interface module. It is used with PowerFlex 4 with digital speed control and keypad. Installing a 22-HIM-A3 is very easy. It can be done by just plugging in. It comes with a full numeric keypad, 1 meter cable, LCD display, and copycat table. This 22-HIM-A3 module supports panel mount with an optional Benzel kit. The IP30 and NEMA certified human-machine interface is used with PF4M/ 400. It is applied at various industry environments which involve industrial drives or PowerFlex product lines. These PowerFlex drives do not possess an in-built interface. Hence, it is primarily used as an external interface for these PowerFlex drives without an interface. This enables the users and operators to control the drives and monitor the application in close proximity.

The LCD display of the 22-HIM-A3 human-machine interface module is divided into multiple rows. The display screen is designed on a large-scale for easy readability. These multiple rows on the screen help in displaying various parameters including the status of the drives, output or result, current application, navigation tabs, programming menu, and settings (if any). The keypad of the 22-HIM-A3 human-machine interface includes 10 gray colored keys (for the numbers 0 to 9), a green key (for 'ON'), a red key (for 'OFF'), blue navigation keys, up arrow, down arrow, escape key, select key, and enter key. The 22-HIM-A3 human-machine interface module has been revised by the manufacturer (Allen-Bradley). Currently, this interface module is available in Series A and C.
