The Allen-Bradley designed 2711-B6C8X is a standard operator terminal for the Allen-Bradley PanelView 600 system. This operator interface is controlled by an external 85-264 volts AC voltage supply and features a 5-inch screen with a built-in distant I/O connectivity protocol and an RS-232 printer communication connector. A Distant I/O communication interface is also included as part of the package's functionality. It is packed with ten (10) function keys, as well as a touchpad user interface for easy navigation and control.

Part number 2711-B6C8X is a 6-inch color terminal from the PanelView 600 series, which was created and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. It contains a keypad and a touchscreen. The function keys on the keypad are numbered from F1 to F10, and each of the touch cells can be activated 128 times and can withstand 1 million presses. This operator terminal consists of DH+ communication, as well as an RS-232 printer interface. This device is powered by an alternating current power supply. When closed, the device's display area is 86 millimeters by 115 millimeters, or the equivalent of 3.4 inches by 4.54 inches (height x width). The resolution of the screen is 320 pixels by 234 pixels. The equipped backlight is field replaceable. A real-time clock is also equipped to this device, and it is battery-backed. This real-time clock is field-replaceable. This device has available memory consisting of 170 KB of program runtime memory and 240 KB of nonvolatile memory (which includes application objects, text, and bitmap images). The input voltage ranges from 85 to 264 volts alternating current, and the frequency band is 47-63 hertz. This device can withstand an operational vibration of 2 G at a 2000 hertz frequency. This terminal was designed to be used at altitudes up to, but not exceeding, 3000 meters, or the equivalent of 6561 feet. The input voltage range for a DC voltage is 18 to 32 volts DC (24 volts DC nominal), with a maximum power consumption of 34 watts.
