The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RN1 is considered as a communication module that supports the RIO communication protocol. This module is compatible with PanelView Plus 400 and 600 displays. The communication module is a single-rack that includes a remote I/O. The 2711P-RN1 employs electrical isolation for communication between I/O ports and the panel terminal. This device controls and monitors messages and data between the machinery part and the display panel. The module can be employed with ControlLogix and PLC controllers. This module can monitor the data and information of the applications in real-time. The 2711P-RN1 is an open type module and should be mounted in an enclosure to protect the internal circuitry.

The 2711P-RN1 includes a scrolling display and LED indicators to indicate the electrical power presence and the communication status. The module contains the “COMM” LED indicator that shows the communication status. This module can be employed on a remote network as either a scanner or an adapter to exchange data.
