The 2711P-T6M5D8 is a PanelView Plus 6 600 terminal that launches HMI services and grants permission to access the desktop. It integrates the visualization module (display), power, communications unit, and logic module into a single unit - the base unit. It has two USB ports (high speed), one host port and one device port.  It also comes equipped with an RS-232 port offering serial link communications, which could be used to interact with PLC controllers, printers, or transfer application files. The terminal also incorporates a Secure Digital card slot. The 2711P-T6M5D8 has an internal memory of 256 MB RAM and 512 MB of nonvolatile memory. The terminal comes embedded with a 5.7-inch grayscale (16 levels gray) TFT LCD screen that has a white LED backlight (non-replaceable) with a luminance of 440 Nits. The 2711P-T6M5D8 has a touch screen (analog, four-wire, resistive) for operator interaction. It comes with four mounting holes for easy assembly on the panel. It includes a battery compartment and also two indicators (LEDs) for fault and communication status. It incorporates a default switch and a reset switch for restoring factory default settings and resetting the terminal. The unit is roughly 1.31 pounds in weight. The terminal is powered by a non-isolated DC power supply with a nominal value of 24 VDC. It allows for a range of 18 to 30 VDC. A maximum of 15 watts can be drawn from the power source via the terminal.
