The Allen-Bradley 1756-M1 is a ControlLogix Memory Expansion Module with a memory size of 512 Kilobytes. This device can be installed on a ControlLogix 5550 controller. The 1756-M1 includes an open enclosure. The unit dissipates a power of 6.2 Watts and a thermal power of 21.2 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour. The device draws a backplane current of 760 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 Volts DC and 2.5 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 Volts DC. The 1756-M1 is sensitive to ESD. This module offers a speed data rate of either 4 megabits per second or 8 megabits per second. The device can be installed on the chassis using a screwdriver. The memory expansion module is compatible with L1 and L1Mx controllers.
