The Allen-Bradley 1756-OF8I is an analog output module that belongs to Rockwell Automation’s High-Resolution Analog I/O Modules. These analog I/O modules consist of eight isolated channels in any combination of voltage or current modes. The module draws a current of 200 milliamperes at 5.1 volts of direct current and it draws a current of 220 milliamperes at 250-ohm loads. The device dissipates 5.4 watts of power in the voltage mode and possesses a power rating of 250 ohm-loads in the current mode. The module also has an output impedance of 46 ohms. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art feature that can effectively detect both open circuits and short circuits. It uses an IEEE 32-bit floating-point data format and has overvoltage protection of up to 30 volts of direct current. It has a low settling time and takes less than 2 milliseconds to 95 percent of the final value with resistive loads.

The Allen-Bradley 1756-OF8I can be mounted in an open-style enclosure. It has two removable terminal blocks that are named 1756-TBNH and 1756-TBSH. The device is also equipped with a user-defined mechanical RTB keying with a slot width of 1. It has an isolation voltage of 250 volts with both basic and reinforced insulation types tested at 1500 volts and 2300 volts of alternating current for 60 seconds between the outputs and the backplane. The 1756-OF8I has an IEC 60068-2-1 tested operational voltage range between 0° Celsius and 60° Celsius at 5 percent to 95 percent of non-condensing humidity and it is IEC 60068-2-27-tested to withstand high levels of operational shock.
