The Allen-Bradley 1762-L24BXBR is a MicroLogix 1200 controller famous for its compact design that allows and promotes space-saving. Its small size makes it useful for many different types of applications. It is a 24-point controller and has two ports dedicated for programming and communication. Moreover it has provision for expansion to Six (6) 1762 expansion I/O of various types. This controller is mounted using panel mounting. Panel mounting is a very stable form of mounting as it is susceptible to vibration. It has a built-in 20 kHz high-speed counter and a programmable limit switch function. The communication port and the programming port have 8-pin mini-DIN circular connector. These ports are used for connecting and communicating with different types of visualization devices as well as online connection with the controller. Another important feature of this controller is its real-time clock. This is used for scheduling different types of control activities. In this device the number of inputs is either 24 or 40. On the other side there are relay contacts as outputs. In addition to this, the controller system contains 4 latching inputs that assist in enabling the gadget capture and holds small signals for processing. Floating point data files are supported by the controller and it also offers program security.
