This module was created and designed by Allen Bradley with the catalog number 1785-LT2. This device was created as a Programmable Logic Controller, or PLC, processor and it is certified for use in IEC 60664-1 industry environment 2 for category II applications. The 1785-LT2 is designed to hold up to thirteen thousand (13,000) words in user memory. However, the number can be increased up to seventeen thousand (17,000) or even twenty-one (21,000) thousand words. This device can control and monitor up to 1024 input channels, along with 1024 output channels and 1024 analog channels. Additional EEPROM modules such as the 1785-MJ give this module a further eight thousand (8,000) words memory storage, as well as the 1785-MK that comes with a 16k word memory. Additionally, this Allen Bradley unit supports Data Highway Plus (DH+) and Remote I/O with integrated connection ports. Remote I/O speeds can go up to 57.6 kilobits per second with I/O scan times as low as 10 milliseconds. Up to 8 I/O racks may be connected with this module. This module allows for controller redundancy by featuring support for the 1785-BCM module for backup communication. The 1785-LT2 supports the use of Sequential Function Chart and ladder programming languages. This module has an operating shock limit of 30 G and a non-operating shock of 50 G. The supported operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). For installation and removal, this item must be totally unplugged by operators from all power sources.
