ProSoft Technology has designed and produced the PS69-DPS Profibus DP slave communication module, which is an enhanced version of Allen Bradley's CompactLogix or MicroLogix control modules. When this module is being compared to the MVI69-PDPS module, it appears that this module is a lot cheaper and more affordable for operators, and it is also inclusive of a wider variety of features. Additionally, this ProSoft Technology-produced module is a Slave Network Interface Module that can control Input or Output and send messages. The explicit ladder logic CIP message blocks ensure that slave status diagnostic data and acyclic messaging are provided. The ProSoft Technology PS69-DPS module is a standard Input or Output module for CompactLogix controllers. Aside from that, in the event of a third-party setup, a GSD file must be given. The slave interface includes rotary switches for configuring the address bus as well as a diagnostic interface. The module has a 9-pin D-Shell socket RS-232 communication connection that serves as a diagnostic interface. This ProSoft Technology module is outfitted with light-emitting diodes, or LEDs, that show the current state of communication in the module. This device is equipped with an EC1-160P processor with integrated ASPC2. The power supply rating of this device is +5 volts, +/- 5% at 260 milliamperes. The ProSoft Technology PS69-DPS has an operating temperature range of zero (0) to sixty (60) degrees Celsius, or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as an ambient storage temperature range of negative forty (-40) to eighty-five (85) degrees Celsius, or -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The relative humidity of the area surrounding this module should remain within a range of 5% to 95% and be non-condensing.
