The Allen-Bradley power conditioning product 1321-3R100-C is from the 1321 series and it is a reactor that regulates the power line by absorbing dangerous fluctuations and hence extending the equipment life. When the line reactor is installed at the input of a drive, it prevents any surges or spikes in the power input from reaching the drive and also decreases harmonic distortion. It can therefore avoid nuisance tripping, improve true power factor, and decrease voltage notching. The reactor has a fundamental amperage rating of 100 Amperes and inductance of 0.45 Megahertz with a power loss of 108 Watts. Its overall dimensions are 274 x 210 x 156 millimeters, or 10.80 x 8.30 x 6.20 inches; it weighs 34 kilograms (74 pounds). The terminations are solid copper box lugs. Impedance protection is 3% or 5% and overload rating is 200% of fundamental current for 30 minutes, 300% of fundamental current for 1 minute. The maximum voltage rating is 690 Volts AC and maximum switching frequency is 20,000 Hertz. The fundamental frequency is 50/60 Hertz. The average temperature rise is 135 degrees Celsius. It has dielectric strength of 3000 Volts rms (4,243 Volts peak). The inductance tolerance is ±10% and insulation system is Class N (200 degrees Celsius). The reactor works in temperatures up to 45°C and at altitudes of up to 1000 meters (3280 feet). The reactor has agency approval from UL-508 as File E180243 component listed (1 to 2400 Amperes) and File E180243 UL Listed NEMA type 1 units (1 to 2400 Amperes), as well as CSA 22.2 and CE (TUV certified to EN61558-2-20).
