The Allen Bradley spare part 1336-FAN-SP5A is used with the variable frequency AC drives from 1336 Plus, Plus II, and Force series. The fan functions as a forced heat sink for frame sizes G and H and is an essential part of the system. The replacement is needed typically when the Troubleshooting Indicator shows FAN. A C-HB1 cap is included in the unit. One fan is needed for drives with output power ranging from 250 to 650 horsepower with the frame size G and 700 to 800 horsepower for frame H VFD. The heat sink temperature signal allows monitoring of the system and has the range from 0 to 255, but in reality it is limited to the 0 to 50 degrees Celsius operating temperature range of the 1336 drives. The heat sink fan works in combination with a climate control system and requires the drives to have the required clearances to allow for air circulation. Also, after the drive heat sink fan removes hot air from the drive, it still needs further additional fan speed to then drive it out of the enclosures. The spare part is used to replace the fan on drive by powering it down and then inserting the wire ends through the drive opening. The gommet that comes with the spare fan is attached to the wires and joined together using splice included correctly. The wire harness and fastenings are connected next, along with the fan cover, screws, and sealant. The drive is powered back on to check for forced air flow.

The 1336-FAN-SP5A is a replaceable component. It is primarily a cooling fan. It is compatible with Impact, 1336 Plus, Plus II, and the Force line of AC drives from Allen-Bradley. On frames G and H, this cooler should be installed on the sink side. There is one C-HB1 cap built into this cooling fan. It can work with a number of output powers including 300 Hp, 250 Hp, 350 Hp, 450 Hp, 400 Hp, 600 to 650 Hp, and 500 Hp. For frame H components, this cooling fan supports an output power of 700 Hp or 800 Hp. This cooling fan is currently only sold as a spare part. This cooling fan is essential for both the effective heat dissipation and the optimal performance of the components. It shows the temperature rating in degrees Celsius. It also keeps the heatsink in check. The maximum parameter value for this terminal is 225 degrees Celsius.

The 1336-FAN-SP5A can operate at a maximum operating temperature of 50 degrees Celsius. Users should make sure there is enough clearance space around this cooling fan. It should be used with the recommended climate control standards. Users should always keep a mounting clearance. If users do not install this cooling fan with the appropriate enclosures, the warm air can get trapped inside, increasing the overall temperature of the component. The 1336-FAN-SP5A comes with a fan capacitator kit. There is also a fan-sink kit on this module. This cooling fan can provide temperature control, and cooling at the same time. The package comes with a sealant, two splices, one grommet, and one lead.
