The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-HV050X-DN is a digital servo drive that is used for industrial applications. This unit belongs to the Ultra 3000 family with DeviceNet. The servo drive is an indexing type, utilizing pre-configured positions depending on the motion application requirements. Its main application in the industry is to start and stop conveyor belts and comparable machinery. It is a device that uses three phase input voltage, providing output of 2.5 kilowatts at 230 volts and 5.0 kilowatts at 460 volts. It requires an external 12-24 volt power supply for the correct operation of the digital I/O. The drive is rated as a high voltage unit. It provides 11 amperes output current continuously, which can rise to 22 amperes in peak situations. The servo drive operates at elevations up to one thousand (1000) meters without de-rating, and for each additional 300 meters, 3% of the current value should be de-rated.

This product can use the technology of Unconnected Message Manager, UCMM, which allows creating Group 3 explicit message connection, with capacity of establishing up to five (5) connections of that type. The user can configure the drives fault responding, which will allow to have the capability to design the unit actions towards communication failures. If you need cyclic operation like data reporting at exact intervals, you are able to configure the servo drive using its change of state feature. The network data rate can be figured out by its Autobaud function.
