The Allen-Bradley 2098-IPD-020-DN Ultra 5000 single axis intelligent positioning drive is a single-phase drive. These intelligent drives are programmable, have high-performance, and compact position control solutions. This technology supports the drive to be stand-alone, meaning that the operating system can independently work using the program installed and does not require human assistance. The programming is done by C-language. The input power supply is 100 to 240 volts AC (nominal rms) and 18 amperes (rms) current. The maximum inrush of input current at 230 volts AC is 100 amperes (0 peak). Output peak current is recorded to be 30 amperes and the continuous output current is 10 amperes at 0-peak. The AC input supply frequency is 47 to 63 hertz. The energy absorption capability of this device is 125 Joules at 115 volts AC input, as well as 51 Joules at 230 volts AC input. The continuous power output of this product is 1.0 kW at 115 volts AC input and 2.0 kW at 230 volts AC input. This module has a DeviceNet protocol that is a network protocol used to connect control devices for data and information exchange. These are commonly used in automation industries. For mounting this Ultra 5000 drive, operators must make sure that the housing meets IEC60529 electrical enclosure requirements of control gear. The temperature of the location should not be more than 55 degrees Celsius, and the enclosure should be on a rigid and flat surface that is free of vibrations, shocks, corrosive liquids, and vapors. The drive weighs 5.50 x 5.69 x 8.08 inches (139.70 x 144.53 x 205.23 mm).
