Description:

The 2711P-T9W21D8S comes with two status indicators to help operators identify the status of the system. The Terminal, or STS, indicator is a green indicator light that shows that the terminal is on and running. The Fault, or ERR, indicator is a red light that signals hardware faults. At startup, both indicators flash on and off, then the STS indicator flashes to signal the status of the startup process. If a successful startup occurs, the STS indicator will stay on. There are various indicator states the lights can signal during the startup process. Upon startup, if both indicator lights are on, it signals that a fatal hardware error has occurred, and the terminal will have to be replaced. When the ERR light is on and the STS light is blinking, it indicates that a fatal display hardware error has occurred, and the terminal will have to be replaced. The terminal can operate with shocks up to 15 grams for 11 milliseconds and can manage shocks of up to 30 grams for 11 milliseconds while idle. If the terminal’s display suddenly dims, or if the backlight is not functioning properly, the touch screen should not be used as it could cause a dangerous outcome. Operators can expand the lifespan of the backlight by reducing the display brightness, by using the screen saver with reduced brightness, or by operating at lower temperatures.
