The 1746-A13 is an I/O chassis manufactured by Allen-Bradley for 1746 I/O modules and belongs to the SLC 500 product family. The optimum temperature for storing the module should be -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The standard range of humidity should be between 5 to 95% in a non-condensing environment.

When preparing to install the Allen-Bradley 1746-A13, make sure to have a phillips screw, as well as a star washer, for the chassis mounting tab. This product has eight (8) mounting tabs. Additionally, be sure to have a phillips screwdriver and a drill. As to note, the support panel for this product's power supply has screws and is located on the left end of the panel. The center and right end panels are held together and in position with a latch. These panels do not require screws to put together. Leave the far left and right tabs open for the grounding process. Finally, install the remaining screws and washers and leave both tabs open on the four-slot chassis. The physical dimensions of the Allen-Bradley 1746-A13 with the tabs are 50.2 cm x 17.1 cm x 14.5 cm. These dimensions are equivalent to 20.1 in. x 6.8 in. x 5.8 in.. The approximate weight of the Allen-Bradley 1746-A13 without the modules is 1.9 kg, or 4.2 pounds.
