The Allen-Bradley 1756-PB75R is a ControlLogix redundant power supply, which requires 24 volts DC. The 1756-PB75R allows for automated chassis load sharing between overpowering power suppliers. This power supply has a status indicator that displays the current condition of the visual functioning. This power supply has an operating vibration of 2 G at 10 to 500 Hz. This power supply's operating and non-operating shocks are 30 G and 50 G, respectively. The 1756-PB75R's measurements are roughly 140 millimeters x 112 millimeters x 145 millimeters (5.51 inches x 4.41 inches x 5.71 inches). This power supply weighs approximately 0.95 kg (2.10 lb). The Allen-Bradley 1756-PB75R connects the power supply to the 1756-PSCA2 housing adapter through the 1756-CPR2 wire. An electrical arc may develop if you connect or unplug the 1756-CPR2 cable while the backplane's power supply is turned on. This may result in an explosion in a dangerous position. Repeated electrical retractions wear down the contacts on the module and its mating connection. This power supply's voltage input connectors are auto-sensing. While the 1756-PB75R is in non-redundant mode, you may swap a robust power supply with another.

This power supply is especially utilized to reduce the risk of system downtime caused by power supply error because when coupled with a redundant partner, this power supply unit creates a hot-standby assembly in which one unit functions as stand-by and one unit operates as active power source. In the case of a module failure, a unit immediately takes over. The 1756-PA75R also includes an alarm notification power of 90 volts DC for ATEX/IECEx. It also has a continuous isolation voltage of 250 volts.
