Allen Bradley’s 1762 series I/O module pairs well with MicroLogix 1100 and 1200 series or system. It has 8-Point 24 VDC input source Input and 6 Point VAC/VDC relay output combination. The dimensions of the digital I/O module include a height of 90 millimeters, a width of 40 millimeters, and a depth of 87 millimeters.

This 1762-IQ8OW6 module allows expansion modules up to 6 modules based on the loading power supply. However, the installation that involves high vibrations have to be panel mounted instead of DIN rail mounting. The user has to ensure a 50-millimeter space on all the surrounding sides. It helps in providing sufficient ventilation for the I/O module and to recover from the vibrations. This I/O module is aimed at clean and dry environments usage. The application limits to circuits that do not exceed overvoltage category II. Before mounting the I/O module, users have to ensure the closure of the DIN-rail latch. To do so, the user has to press the module’s DIN-rail mounting area against the DIN-rail, then open the latch and position the equipment in place. Certifications for the 1762-IQ8OW6 include Class A Conducted Emissions EN 50081-2, c-UL certification, UL 508 listed, Radiated Immunity IEC1000-4-3, CE compliance for all applicable directives, and IEC1000-4-2 ESD immunity.
