The Allen-Bradley 1769-OW16 is PLC 5 relay output module with AC ranging from 24 to 250 Volts and DC ranging from 24 to 150 Volts. This point I/O module is manufactured by Rockwell Automation. It has a 16 point relay output channel. The I/O module is designed in such a way to use with location 1771 chassis (1771-A1B thru A4B). It works on 2 Amperes at 50/60 Hertz. The PLC 5 I/O module contact output type is 8 N.O. (Selectable). The typical DC signal off delay time accounts for 50 milliseconds. The wiring arm is 1771-WN. This 1771-OW16 module finds its applications in wide industrial environments as it does not have any surge limiting. With proper selection of limiting devices, the operators can use the 1771-OW16 module to control resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads. The module’s output is divided into two (2) groups. Each group consists of 8 point outputs. Each output is independently isolated or found separated. The first output arrangement indicates the open contacts. Whereas, the second output arrangement indicates the selectable contacts which can be either normally-open or normally-closed. Each output contact can conduct 2.0 Amperes at 500 Volt-amperes for AC and 80 Watts for DC. In total, the module’s total output power cannot go beyond 1440 Voltage-Amperes. Since, the contacts are isolated, any single channel failure cannot disturb or affect the other channel’s operation. The 1771-OW16 module has 1/3 Hertz switching frequency. It has a maximum release time of 10 milliseconds. The 16 LED status indicators light up whenever the corresponding relays are energized.
