The 1792D-8BV0D is a digital input block module. It is featured in the ArmorBlock MaXum Digital I/O series and is produced by Allen-Bradley. This module requires the use of a cable base. It features 8 sinking and sourcing inputs. The nominal input voltage rating for this module is 24 Volts DC. The input voltage range is rated at 10 Volts to 25 Volts DC. The module offers a selectable signal delay feature per input. The default delay time is less than one millisecond. Available signal delay options include a time of 2, 4, 8, and 16 milliseconds. The module’s I/O block power source operates at the same voltage range as the input circuit power source. The I/O block power comes in through the DeviceNet connection. The module has a current rating of 470 milliamperes from DeviceNet, assuming 8 sensors are connected and are drawing an input current of 25 milliamperes at 24 Volts DC. The maximum off-state input current rating is 1.5 milliamperes. The module uses universal PNP and NPN inputs, allowing the use of either type of input without requiring separate blocks. The module offers diagnostic data down to the point level. Available diagnostic data includes input open wire alerts. The module can also detect auxiliary power, providing more information for troubleshooting. This unit is housed in a sealed enclosure that is mounted on the machine. The module features an ingress protection rating of IP67, allowing it to be installed without requiring an additional enclosure and allowing it to be washed down in dirty environments.
