The 2706-B41J31 is a DataLiner message display terminal. This terminal was designed and manufactured by the company known as Allen-Bradley. This display terminal, which is a DL40 Plus terminal, has many enhancements to it that make it superior when compared to older units of the DL40 Plus terminal product line. The 2706-B41J31 fits within the same spaces as previous terminal. However, the 2706-B41J31 has a reduced weight and dimensions. This allows for it to fit into these spaces for efficiently and allow for portability, This display terminal weighs approximately 2.2226 kilograms, or the equivalent of 4.6 pounds. Changes to the 2706-B41J31's dimensions include a reduced depth of three (3) inches from 4.53 inches and the studs used for panel mounting are now longer, measuring 0.6 inches rather than 0.5 inches. 

The 2706-B41J31 is equipped with a touchscreen display as its primary input interface. This touchscreen measures 6.2 inches x 14.4 inches and is a vacuum fluorescent display. This display terminal allows for its intensity to be adjusted at any time. The display can only show up to four (4) lines of text at a time. It is capable of display up to twenty (20) characters (English, Cyrillic, and/or International) per line. It is capable of displaying these characters in multiple colors, such as green, red, and amber. This display terminal has an available internal memory of one hundred and twenty-eight (128) kilobytes (KB) of flash memory.
