The Allen-Bradley 440G-T27127 is a Guard Locking Switch that holds a machine guard closed until the electrical power will be isolated and makes the machine isolated while the guard is open. This device includes two (2) N.C. contacts and one (1) auxiliary N.O. contact. The head contains two entry slots and can also be rotated to offer four (4) actuator entry points. The solenoid supports an input voltage of either 24 Volts AC or 24 Volts DC and consumes a power of 7 Watts. This guard locking switch has stainless steel fully flex actuator to prevent actuator damage due to either the poor guard alignment or guard wear. The 440G-T27127 provides a protection rating of IP67. This device can be employed in harsh washdown applications such as food, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and solar applications.

The 440G-T27127 offers an actuation speed of 160 millimeters per second (6.29 inches per second) and an actuation frequency of one cycle per second. The device has a lifetime of 1 million operations at a current of 100 milliamperes. The 440G-T27127 provides an output thermal current of 10 Amperes and an insulation voltage of 500 Volts. This unit supports a switching current of 5 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 Volts DC. This guard locking switch has a holding force of 2000 Newtons and a break contact force of 20 Newtons.
