The 45CPD-8LTB1-D5 is an analogue laser sensor by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This component is an analogue and discrete Class 1 infrared laser sensor with long-range sensing capabilities. This sensor features unique buttons for installing and configuring different operational modes. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 45CPD-8LTB1-D5 is protected from contact with many leftover particles from the application process by an IP 67 certified enclosure. This sensor is utilised in situations where a detection range of up to 6 meters is required. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 45CPD-8LTB1-D5 analogue laser sensor has a temperature drift of 1.22 mm/°C. The lens is a PMMA lens with a polycarbonate housing. Accessories are not included with this product, but are listed in the product manual. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 45CPD-8LTB1-D5 analogue laser sensor has a visible red alignment beam. This red alignment beam is used for distance measuring, material position verification, thickness measurement and roll diameter measurement, among some other things. This sensor is self-contained and features two discrete and one analogue output. This sensor must not be placed above the head to avoid being aimed at people. A solid surface is required for safe operation and precise measurement. 

The spot size of the Allen-Bradley 45CPD-8LTB1-D5 is four by seven (4 x 7) millimeters at two (2) meters and four by twelve (4 x 12) millimeters at six (6) meters. The sensing range of this device ranges from 0.20 to 6 meters, or the equivalent of 0.7 to 19.78 feet. The temperature range that is suitable for this device to be operational ranges from -20 to +50 °C.
